“Mehfil -E-Khaas” Ulf “Mehfil – E- Sama” – Nidhi & Sagar

IMG_5491

Nidhi & Sagar’s Sangeet night was set at the IVY Restaurant Banquets, Chembur, Mumbai – India.  The theme for the evening was Qawwali. Qawwali is a Sufi musical tradition that stretches back for more than 700 years. The roots of Qawwali can be traced back to 8th century Persia (today’s Iran and Afghanistan). Ghazal was the chosen mode of delivery for Qawwali night.

As we entered the hall, the first thing that caught our eyes was the Mehendi counter where Mehndi artists were at work bringing some beautiful art to life. Before the Qawwali session began, the evening was kicked off with some dance performances from family and friends. The first piece was performed by 9 sisters of the bride on a hit Bollywood number from the movie “Khai Po Che” and stirred up the crowd and other family members also joined in the fun and the next performance was done by the Uncles & Aunties of the bride followed by 2 very adorable kids doing the Lungi Dance which set the pace for the next act from the brides friends and cousins who danced to the tune of Dhol Baje & Drama Queen.

The kids were chosen as the best dancers and were given gifts for the entertainment displayed.

The groom entered a bit later and everyone got their Qawwali gear on, the topi & the legendary scarves. This set the Mehfil-E-Khaas into motion and professional qawwals took centre stage who started off with a song that offered praise to the almighty. Post which some real classics were performed. Professional Qawwals like Sunil Menon took the Mehfil to the next level and delighted the audience with some sublime songs.

IMG_5586IMG_5689

The Qawali night was an inclusive one which involved the audience into the act and there were Qawwali competition between the bride’s side and the groom’s side along with some amazing jugalbandis. The family and friends at the event participated and enjoyed its every moment.

If you are planning to have your own Qawwali Night for your Sangeet, here are a few tips to keep in mind:

1. Get an experienced Orchestra & some really good Qawwals

2. Seating arrangement in front of the stage with a Gaddhi (Thin mattress)

3. Costume: Get the attire right, men should have a Kurtha on (A short Kurtha to go with it) and the women can sport an Anarkali suit or a bold colorful saree.

4. Do not forget the legendary accessories that are must-haves to go with the attire. The Qawwali topi & scarf. The Topi needs to be colorful. The scarves can be tied on the hands or/and tied on the neck like a bow-tie.

If we missed out any essentials, feel free to add on to the list in the comment section below. #Sangeettips

Wedding Makeup Tips

IMG_0055

There are some things to keep in mind before you get set to look gorgeous on your special day. Here are a few tips that will help you in getting the right makeup on.

  • To ensure that your foundation lasts the whole day, using a primer as a base is essential. It prepares the skin for make-up and creates a protective base that foundation can ‘grab onto’.
  • Choose foundation to match your skin tone. The key to finding the perfect foundation to match your skin tone is to check the colour in natural daylight. After all, on your wedding day you are most likely to spend a large proportion of it in natural light.
  • Remember to always check a foundation along the jaw line to guarantee you don’t leave a tide-mark and extend it towards the neck.  Remember to invest a few bucks in the foundation brush to apply foundation properlyIMG_7946
  • Get a good night sleep before your big day and leave the rest to the concealer.  Concealer is a bridal beauty must have to get rid of any unwanted shadows that might persist after foundation application. Use a small concealer brush to erase dark circles.
  • Use powder to set foundation. It may seem like more make-up than you are used to, but remember that for photographs and all-day longevity, powder is essential to set the foundation and concealer.
  • To avoid looking washed out for photographs, make sure you apply a subtle blusher to the apples of your cheeks. Smile in the mirror to ensure you pinpoint the apple exactly and gently blend the blusher upwards towards the hairline.
  • Use light eye shadow as base. Begin on your eyes by applying a light eye shadow all over the eyelid. This is the best way to open up the eye and make them stand out more in photographs. Then you can apply the colour of your choice from the upper lash line to the crease of your eye. Blending is the key to good make-up, so be sure you don’t leave any harsh lines
  • Go for darker eye shadow for a dramatic look.  Some brides go for a darker eye shadow shade along the upper lash line, worn as close to the lashes as possible, you can also bring this shade to the lower lash line if you wish. To up the drama stakes, apply a dark eye pencil in the inner rim of the eye.IMG_8016
  • Follow the eye shading by curling your lashes for a glamorous look and then apply two generous coats of waterproof black mascara.
  • Use lip liner that matches your lipstick shade. There are no hard and fast rules over whether to opt for a lipstick or a gloss on your wedding day. Some simply prefer one to the other. Whichever you veer towards, be sure to use a lip liner similar to the colour of your choice and blend using a cotton bud to prevent the lipstick or gloss from bleeding.
  • IMG_8128
  • When applying your lipstick, blot your lips with a tissue after one application and then re-apply to guarantee a more lasting effect.

Wedding Extravaganza – Nehali & Jay!

Marriage is tying two souls together by a single thread, a single thread that takes you through times both thick and thin. A bond that gets stronger as days pass by, just like a good wine that tastes better with time.

IMG_0294

The day beckoned a new beginning, literally, not only for the bride and groom but for everyone present as it was the second day of the year and the wedding celebrations had begun from the first day of the year. The stage was set for a grand and extravagant celebration of life, one of Nehali & Jay. The venue for the wedding was Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai. The space in itself had great capacity and could accommodate thousands of people. The setting was royal and befitted the couple who were dressed aptly for the occasion like the Maharaja and Maharani

We had 6 photographers to cover the event and multiple videographers (including a crane operated camera) to capture every moment, ones to be frozen in time and relived and cherished forever.

DSC_6888

The event sported a live orchestra playing Gujrati songs and bhajans before and after the ceremony. The sound of the serene flute and the bells filled the place with pious and added divinity to the occasion. There were different shades of colour floating across the venue with colourful sarees and adornments sported by the guests who were escorted by golf carts to the venue,

As time dwelt into dusk the shades changed and the music and the atmosphere also took a twist with some wonderful Jazz filling the air, soothing the ears of the people present and summing up a wonderful and momentous day in Nehali & Jay’s life.

Shivangi & Kunal – The Sangeet Tale!

Mark Twain once said

“To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with.”

The Sangeet + Haldi + Ring exchange ceremony of Kunal & Shivangi was a joyful occasion cherished by both the families and their loved ones. There was fun & fervor in the air.

The event had guests less in number, but with the enthusiasm they brought with them made the event amazing  to watch and to be a part of.

The event started off with the DJ spinning in some desi tracks in an effort to stir the mood and to get everyone into a celebratory mood. Once the invitees started to shake their tailfeathers, the stage was set for a beautiful day to follow.

IMG_2968 (1)

The couple’s aunts and cousins had an extempore skit prepared for the event that took form in a very short time. The skit had an effective blend of songs, dance and story. The act in a gist was about the story of Kunal’s childhood and his journey over the years and how the groom and bride met and they decided to tie the knot.

IMG_2990 (1)

There were dance performance by the couple’s cousins and relatives. The one that was fun to watch was Kunal’s uncle’s “Unde Ka Funda” performance that earned laughs & accolades alike.

59927_310231475760141_796752057_n

Kunal (Groom) also let his footloose on songs of his favourite star while growing up, the legendary disco dancer “ Mithun Da” , sporting Mithun’s classic moves.

IMG_3174 (1)

Shivangi (Bride) also let her hair down and danced to the Bollywood numbers that were played and was also multitasking with the wet mehndi on her hand. The expression at offer was of pure joy and happiness. She was accompanied by Kunal’s mother (Groom’s Mother) and the joy multiplied.

IMG_3038 (1)

IMG_2919 (1)

The groom’s and the bride’s fathers also sang a couple of songs and were relished by the people present and added their special touch to the wedding. Shivangi’s father also moved to some popular tracks and sported a Jodi performance with Shivangi. Kunal’s parents also performed a jugalbandi, wherein the groom’s mother complimented his father’s voice with beautiful moves, a spectacle, nonetheless.

IMG_3235 (1)

IMG_2929 (1)

IMG_3264 (1)

To sum up this beautiful celebration, the one thing in abundance was joy and happiness which was a result of the communion of the two beautiful souls. It was a great experience covering the event and our heartfelt wishes for a brighter future to the wonderful couple.

Tips & Ideas for Sangeet!

Sangeet ceremony as the name suggests is all about dance and music. It is one of the most enjoyable ceremonies before the wedding and used to be exclusively for women. Initially, the sangeet party was organized only by the bride’s family but with changing times it is now observed by the groom’s family as well. Also, it was a ritual which was only seen in North Indian weddings, but nowadays it is conducted in Bengali and South Indian marriages as well. The Sangeet, of all the wedding functions, is one such evening that is most awaited not only by the couples’ family but by everyone who’s invited. It’s the night of absolute fun where everybody joins in the joy surrounding the wedding celebrations through the simplest means of music, dance & entertainment!

IMG_2146

But a lot goes into making this evening as special as it can be – hours of dance practices, coordination of steps, but most of all is the selection of great songs that is bound to entertain your guests. Even though trends in song selections and performances may have seen changes over the years, the basic idea of having a great time while organizing the dance show has stayed the same. Besides, with a number of great friends and family bopping to the fantastic desi beats at the Sangeet Night is bound to be an electrifying evening!

Below are a few tips & ideas for your Sangeet!

Top Tips:

  • Determine your budget

Sangeet can be an expensive affair. In most communities at least 2 to 3 lakhs and upwards amount is spent on it.

  •  Choose the venue well

The venue for the Sangeet must be chosen keeping in mind the convenience of the friends and families of the bride and the groom. Make adequate arrangements for the appetizers, drinks and dinner.

_MG_0495

  • Keep it a day or two before the wedding

Since the participation of people from both the sides is required, the Sangeet Sandhya is ideally held a day or two before the nuptial.

  • Decide the choreographer

Half the time the people who dance the best on either side take up the responsibility of planning the performances, the people and the songs. But nowadays professional choreographers are being hired for the purpose and who lend an expert touch to the overall ceremony.

  • Decide the performers

Start planning for it at least a month in advance and make a list of all those who would be performing.

IMG_2185

  • Choose the songs aptly

Choose songs that suit the occasion are either very romantic or aimed at teasing the to-be-weds. Do not choose any such song that would not go down well with any of the persons present.

_DSC6809

  • Divide the time judiciously

Appropriate the performance time judiciously between the bride’s and the groom’s family. No one should feel disadvantaged against.

  • Music system

The music system should be in good shape and the DJ must be booked at least 3 or 4 months in advance or else you may have to make do with your home theatre system.

_MG_0749

  • Sweet and short

However grand and entertaining an affair is, it must come to an end. The Sangeet should not be longer than an hour or 90 minutes at max. After that people will start getting bored.

Some Ideas that you can implement to make the Sangeet more exciting:

  •  The Skit : Letting an array of songs tell the story of how you met or how as a couple you both are meant to be, is an adorable way to stage a Sangeet performance. While some couples have their families join forces and perform together, that way getting them more acquainted; other couples have a two sided performance, therefore adding to the excitement as to which side performed better. Either way, everyone has fun, which is the main purpose of a Sangeet. And since it’s a Skit, the songs can range from any latest Bollywood to Classics or even International hits wherein the lyrics represent steps of your life. At times even witty snippets of commentary or impersonation are imbibed in between the songs to add to the entertainment and laughter!

59927_310231475760141_796752057_n

  •  A Slideshow : Both pictures and music have the power to say what words can’t, so imagine how powerful a performance it will be if both these aspects are brought together. While the pictures slideshow can go on in the background, having a song-and-dance representing every picture can be staged. This is not only an innovative idea; it also gets your guests engaged in the performance.

43

  • A Desi Themed Song & Dance :  It so can happen that the bride and groom can be from culturally different backdrops – to that there would be nothing better than using it as an opportunity for a ‘Desi Themed Song-&-Dance’ in which the song selections could be a fusion of beats from both cultures. Where, for example, with a folk-like Punjabi song like ‘Baari-Barsi’ or ‘Gur Nalo Ishq Mitha’ there can be a Guajarati Garba dance. This blending represents the union of two families creative way of celebration!

524779_310231322426823_1296865976_n

  • The Bollywood Dance Songs : Wherever there is an Indian wedding, Bollywood song-and-dance is added to it automatically! Any why shouldn’t it? After all Bollywood Music and Dances does have the most exhilarating beats that can get anyone on their feet and grooving to the rhythm.

IMG_2141

  • An Act or Professional Performance : There are multiple options available from laser shows to fire dancers. If you want to add something even more special to the night you can choose from the many options available by professional performers.

Choosing Your Wedding Shoe!

“A shoe that is too large is apt to trip one, and when too small, to pinch the feet. So it is with those whose fortune does not suit them.” – Horace

IMG_4431 (1)

Choosing your wedding shoes is the next most important thing after picking your wedding outfit. During the planning stages of your wedding you may get caught up with a lot of things and may not pay attention to the finer details while choosing your wedding shoes. Here are some tips to make your wedding shoe shopping hassle free and simple!

  • First thing to remember is, pick up the shoes that would match your wedding dress. Don’t go for the shoes that will look odd with your wedding outfit. It will be better if you buy shoes at the time of buying your wedding dress.
  • Aim to pick your shoes around the same time as your dress, as you will need them for the fittings to determine the length of your dress in case of any alterations. It’s always good to account for some buffer time just in case the size is not available or for customization.
  • Whenever you are purchasing wedding shoes, always look at its sole, because you will want it to be comfortable. If you are not comfortable, then don’t buy it even if it’s a stunner. Remember, during the wedding ceremony, you have to wear the shoes for a long time..
  • Remember to consider the height of your groom while choosing your heels. High heels seem very tempting, but if that means you are towering over your groom, they may not be so ideal.
  • Keep the weather and location in mind while shopping for wedding shoes. For instance, if you are having a beach wedding, then you should get a pair of flat shoes made of gleaming crystals, and not something that comes with high heels. On the other hand, for a banquet hall or garden, you can opt for wearing stilettos..
  • If you are buying white shoes, then investing in a pair of dye-able shoes is a good option, as you can consider dyeing them post the wedding in to a wearable colour to use them more often.
  • ALWAYS, plan for a back up pair, just in case!
  • Remember, that if your wedding outfit is long, your shoes may not show as much. In such a case you can opt for a nicer yet practical option as compared to a shorter length outfit in which case your shoes would be seen.
  • Experts suggest that the best time of the day to shop for shoes is noon, as your feet have a tendency to swell slightly during the day. This will help prevent your wedding shoes from suddenly feeling too tight in the afternoon
  • After purchasing the wedding shoes, you should walk around your home wearing the shoes so that you can become comfortable with the pair before the wedding or the reception day party. This will reduce any chance of friction with your feet and won’t give you blisters on the big day.

Wedding Venue – Tips!

By the beach

As soon as the engagement ring is on your finger those wedding thoughts rule your mind. The sheer number of decisions you need to make from now until the wedding day can leave you feeling slightly overwhelmed, but as long as you take one step at a time and stay organised you will be fine.

One of the vital decisions that you’ll need to make at the start is of course when and where the wedding will take place. Sometimes the two go hand in hand since you may not be able to get your dream venue on the date you had in mind, so getting a few potential dates jotted down before looking at venues will give you a better idea of availability and how flexible you are willing to be to get the venue of your dreams. Here is a quick guide on what to consider before making the important decision on which wedding venue you should choose.

  1. The first thing you need to get your head around is how many guests you are planning to invite to the wedding. Rather than making a rough guess, write down a detailed list of family and friends you would like to invite. The last thing you want is to have chosen your wedding venue and find out that there is not enough room for all your guests. Make sure there is enough space for all the people you have invited; it is very rare that absolutely all invited wedding guests can make it to the celebration so you can comfortably expect some drop offs. You should also break down how many guests are coming for the full day and how many will join the evening party. This could make a big difference in budgets and could give you more flexibility at the venue with regards to dining rooms and evening party space.
  2. Secondly, the most important thing would be to freeze on the budget once you finalize the guest list. This is extremely important as, once you have the budget for your wedding and expected number of guests in place it narrows down your options to a few venues which fit the bill.
  3. Once you narrow down on a few venues which fulfill your basic criteria of capacity, pricing and of course the wedding you envision, you must visit each of the wedding venues to understand them better.
  4. When you visit the venue, understand the layout, seating capacity and the various styles of seating; especially if you want to seat all guests. Usually theatre style seating seats more people than a round table seating.
  5. Most wedding venues operate on timeslots. Understand the time slots and charges for extra hour. For example, your function may be an evening function, but before booking you will have to check if the place is booked for a function on the same day in the morning. In that case if you have an elaborate décor plan, it may get difficult to set up the place in two hours time. Depending on the duration of your function, you may even have to book the place for the entire day by renting both slots.
  6. Make sure you check the safety measures. This is very important and most times this is neglected and in case of an emergency, there may be panic.
  7. Check on the changing rooms. Make sure they have full length mirrors, good lighting, air-conditioning, clean washrooms attached to the changing room and a couch to seat a few friends.
  8. Understand payment terms. Also enquire about any monopoly for décor or food or if there is a panel. In case you want to use a particular caterer or wedding decorator  who is not on the panel, find out if there is a way to get your team on board. Also find out what the security deposit would include. Get the contact for the technical person who would be at the venue on the day of the function. Also find out about the extra hour charges and check on security and whether the washrooms would have housekeepers.
  9. Check on the condition of the guest washroom and see if you need to add on any supplies such as tissues, hand sanitizers etc to make your guests more comfortable. Also check if you need to add on more housekeeping staff.
  10. Check on available parking space. In case you feel that the space is insufficient, locate the nearest parking lot and brief your valet staff to direct guests to the parking lot.
  11. Check on sound restrictions, especially if you are planning an outdoor reception.

Finding Your Perfect Wedding Photographer!

Hope that this is not what you have in mind while looking for someone to capture your special moment (Not someone with a smartphone, probably using Instagram)

So if you’re looking for professional help, finding that perfect wedding photographer can be quite a task. Google “Wedding Photographer India” and you would end up with numerous lists, databases & search results. It might take you months to go through each one of the profiles. And by the time you have shortlisted one – chances are – your favorite photographer is booked already! Here are just a few pointers that might help speed up the process. This would be highly appreciated by the photographer as well.

1. What are you looking for?

First of all, you – the decision maker (parents/the couple/the entire family) must know what he/she is looking for. The bigger the decision making group is going to be – the more opinions and confusion it is bound to create. Keep it simple. Speak to a photographer whose style appeals to you. End of story. Google is your best friend. Facebook is also very resourceful. Search for photographers, Look at friends’ wedding pictures, ask for recommendations! You can find us on www.facebook.com/SnapixSnapsAndBeyond

2. What about Equipment? Video? Shouldn’t we consider those?

Are you more concerned about Nikon, Sony or Canon equipment being used for your wedding – or the end product? No photographer would use or hold back his best equipment for a project. If they have it. They would use it! If you still want to be sure – ask questions. It doesn’t hurt to know. (Examples of Professional & High-end cameras Wedding Photographers use: Canon 5D Mark II & Mark III, Nikon D700 & D800, Sony Alpha 77 & A850)

Video – In India, for a VERY long time, Wedding Photography meant that a guy shoots the wedding, gives you an album, a video DVD, some prints, and sits with you and talks about the payments later. Things are different now.

3. What genre of photography should you choose?

When it comes to Photography – each photographer has her/his own distinct style & way of shooting. Some are not sure what category they are into and choose to call them wedding photographers, others end up using the same tags as their favorite photographers. But most of the photographers that you would see over the internet – know what they are doing, and their work speaks what they write.

*Wedding Photojournalism or Reportage style Wedding Photography

Wedding Photojournalists have a “candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography. ” – WPJA

What to expect:  Most wedding photojournalists will give you 200-300 pictures over 5-6hours of photography. Will charge you for extra hours. And appreciate working space.

What not to expect: Group/Party pictures. Posed stage pictures typical of Indian Receptions. Basically, if you might miss the father’s sister’s best friend’s daughter’s picture because she just came in for 5 minutes and left without meeting the bride & groom – skip this photographer.

*Candid Photographer –

Candid photographers in India are the most creative & flexible in terms of budgets, hours & working styles. If you are looking at thousands of pictures of your wedding, and choosing what pictures you want edited, this is the right person for you.

What to expect: Most Candid photographers will give you 1000-3000 (Exact Number) pictures a day of shooting, will be there throughout, and not bill you for extra hours etc. Unexpected ceremony or delay – No problem. This person is with you for the day’s unedited RAW files .

What not to expect: Stage/Posed – Reception pictures (unless specifically mentioned).

*Fine Art, Contemporary Photographer –

A fine-art or contemporary photographer is a bold artist who would try and create artistically pleasing pictures of your wedding. Ranging from beautiful portraits, fantastic details & document the ceremonies as well as any other candid photographer. Each fine-art or contemporary photographer brings in their own creative focus – some are more people oriented, some focus more on details & action.

What to expect: Most fine-art or contemporary wedding photographers would give you 300-400 pictures from a wedding. Most of the photographers would either give you edited pictures or ask you to choose your favorite set for finishing. Most fine art and contemporary wedding photographers are particular about the number of work hours they are putting in. If you are expecting delays, added ceremonies, discuss the same with your photographer.

What not to expect: Just like a Wedding Photojournalist – No Stage/Posed pictures.

*The Studio –

If you are expecting multiple photographers to cover each and every aspect of your wedding in a candid and/or traditional style, the studios are your best bet.

Skip the three categories I listed above and find the studio near your home. What is a Studio? Any photographer coming with anything more than a Second photographer is a Studio.

What to expect: Everything. From pictures of people entering, talking, looking at each other, eating, drinking, meeting the bride & groom, posed, candid, stage, group – ALL kinds of pictures that form the bells and whistles of a wedding. You want it – They have it. Extra hours, Delays – Don’t even think about getting worried by those! You might even have to ask these guys to go home – once the wedding is over.

4. Photoshop? RAW Files? What is all that?

With Digital Photography – the film/negatives was replaced with ‘RAW’ files. Some photographers choose to shoot in Camera RAW (Camera RAW is not Unedited Jpeg, .cr2, .nef etc are raw files) – because it ensures the highest possible quality and size of the picture at the time of capture. What you finally get is a set of JPEG images which are edited and fine-tuned. This too can vary hugely. Check with the photographer what you want and what you are going to get.

Most photographers give you either of these:

1 A full set of Edited pictures in JPEG, OR

2 A full set of RAW/Unedited JPEG pictures and a select set of Edited pictures as per your preference, OR

3 A pre-selected set of Edited pictures and all RAW/Unedited JPEG pictures, OR

4 A pre-selected set of Edited pictures (JPEG) only.

We at Snapix give a full set of unedited jpeg pictures and select set of edited pictures as per your preference.

At Snapix we  provide the whole package, a mixture of everything, not exactly specializing in a particular type as far as a style of offering is concerned. We have someone for each genre, be it fine art, candid , portrait, documentary or studio.

1,2 & 3 – based on the style of the wedding photographer is a good option. You can decide how much control of the images you require. But remember, at the end of the day, the quantity of the pictures is not going to matter so much as the whole experience. 10,000 average unfinished pictures vs. 200 fabulous pictures is a choice that only you can make. The number and the type of images is never something that should be compared while deciding a Wedding Photographer. Always focus on the image quality.

5.  How much would it cost?

There are 2 ways to go about choosing a photographer for your wedding, the first one is purely based on budget and you will go for the best possible service in the budget set. The second type is where your focus would be on finding the best work, compare that with the rest. And find the Cost vs. Value equation.

Wedding Photography is not a commodity. But Budgets cannot be missed either. Good Candid Photographers charge 25-50k ($500-$1000) (our price) for a day’s work. A photojournalist, fine-art or contemporary photographer might charge anywhere from 50k-150k ($1000-$3000+) per day (and more!!). A Studio is the best deal, but not necessarily the best value. Most will give you Photography (and all the other add-ons like albums, video and the bling) anywhere from 30-75k a day. The latest trend is to hire a traditional photographer or a studio (for photo & video) in addition to one of the other 3 types of photographers with their own signature style.

We at Snapix charge around 25,000 INR – 30,000 INR per day, per photographer. We device a custom offering as per your events and tell you how many photographer/ videographer will be required for the event. You can then choose as per your need & taste.

6. Payments?

Don’t expect a photographer to hold your dates, just because you sent them an email or spoke to them on phone. Chances are – a few others did the same too. A Wedding photographer will ask you for a booking fee (generally 50% of the entire photography fee) and reserve your date based on that.. We also follow the generally prevalent 50% advance of the total bill amount after the entire quotation for photography & videography has been approved by the client, for their events. then we book the required photographer & videographers and part payment after shooting and complete payment after  the CD is delivered Most photographers would also take the entire fee amount before they have taken even a single picture.

7. Timeline for photographs:

Each photographer has their own timeline. Those who are going to give you edited pictures – will typically take 3-6 weeks to do so. Understand the timelines beforehand and don’t put the photographer under pressure to deliver early. It can only push your edit quality down.

8. Albums :

You need to understand that the strength of a good Photographer is her/his pictures. But if albums or coffee table books are high in your priority, do have a look at a sample before you book a photographer.

Coffee table books are Hard-back, light, and have thicker-than-magazine style pages. A 12×12 60 page coffee table book would generally range between 20-50k INR ($400-$1000) our price depending on the quality of the product and the design. A similar album can cost anywhere from 20k-100k INR ($400-$2000), and 40-60 pages might be the upper limit for such a book!
